The back has a clean, fully upholstered appearance rather than a decorative wood frame surrounding it, which gives the stool a softer look in the kitchen.

Flexback Lets You Move Naturally

Darafeev’s Flexback allows approximately 1 to 1½ inches of movement, letting the back move slightly as you lean into it.

It’s subtle, but when you’re sitting through dinner or spending an evening around the kitchen island, that little bit of movement can make the stool feel noticeably more comfortable.

Suspension Seating Adds Comfort Below the Cushion

The 917 also uses suspension seating underneath its padded seat.

Maple Keeps the Wood Grain Subtle

The maple base gives the stool the warmth of wood without a heavily pronounced grain.
