Warranty

Lifetime Guarantee

At Simply Amish, quality craftsmanship is more than a promise—it’s a lifelong commitment.
If your furniture fails during normal household use in the lifetime of the original owner due to defects in workmanship or materials, Simply Amish will repair or replace it at no cost.

What’s Covered (and for How Long)

  • Lifetime Warranty:
Applies to all furniture frames and structural components under normal household use.
  • One-Year Warranty:
    • Finishes
    • Fabrics
    • Leather
    • Cabinet lights
  • Three-Year Warranty:
    • Moving parts in wall beds, desk chairs, and recliners

Please note: Furniture must be finished with Simply Amish’s protective finish to qualify for the warranty. Unfinished furniture is not covered.

What’s Not Covered

The warranty does not apply to:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or accidents
  • Alterations or modifications made by others
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Items used in commercial or non-residential settings (see below for those terms)
  • Consequential property damage of any kind

How to Make a Warranty Claim

  1. Contact Barstool Comforts (your Simply Amish dealer) to initiate a claim.
  2. Once Simply Amish confirms the issue, it’s the owner’s responsibility to return the piece to the nearest Simply Amish dealer.
  3. Simply Amish will handle:
    • Pickup from the dealer
    • Warranty repair or replacement
    • Return of the repaired item to the dealer

Simply Amish is not responsible for transportation costs between your home and the dealer.
Independent dealers set their own policies for pickup and delivery.

For Non-Residential Use

Furniture used in commercial spaces such as restaurants, offices, or hotels is covered under a three-year limited warranty. This covers defects in workmanship or materials, but only if the order was specified as non-residential at the time of purchase. Some items may not qualify for either residential or non-residential warranties depending on their design and materials.

Need a Repair That’s Not Covered?

If your issue falls outside of the warranty:

  • Simply Amish’s Returns Department will assess the item
  • You’ll receive a written estimate for repair costs
  • If approved, Simply Amish will repair the piece and return it to the dealer

All transportation costs between your home and the dealer are the responsibility of the owner.

Product Care

You Don’t Have to Be Obsessive — You Just Have to Care

Your Simply Amish furniture is built to last for generations. With just a little attention, you can keep it looking beautiful for years to come.

Trust the Finish

Each piece is protected with a post-catalyzed varnish — a conversion varnish that’s non-yellowing and incredibly durable. When your furniture first arrives, treat it gently for the first 30 days to let the finish fully cure.

Play Defense

  • Use placemats and trivets under hot dishes or rough plates.
  • Add a tablecloth when serving large groups.
  • Avoid placing rubber or plastic items directly on the surface — they may react with the finish.
  • For writing or desk use, pad the surface to prevent impressions or etching.
  • Avoid leaving items that trap moisture or heat, which can cause discoloration.

Stay Comfy

Wood is a natural material that breathes and responds to its environment.

  • Too much humidity can cause warping or swelling.
  • Very dry air can cause shrinking or cracking.
  • Maintain home humidity around 35% for best results.
  • Some woods, like cherry, naturally change color over time when exposed to light — part of their charm.

Don’t Worry

Spills happen! Just wipe them up right away.

The finish does the hard work — but prolonged exposure to moisture can damage the wood, so act promptly.

Quick Tips

  • Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to reduce fading.
  • Never drag furniture; lift to move.
  • Use felt pads under accessories to protect the finish.
