Warranty
Residential Lifetime Limited Warranty
Leathercraft Inc. warrants that this piece of furniture is free from defects in tailoring, frame and spring construction. This warranty shall extend only to the original purchaser for the lifetime of that individual.
Repair or Replacement
During the warranty period, Leathercraft, Inc. will repair or replace, solely at its option, any defect as specified above that occurs under normal usage.
Exclusions for Commercial Use
This warranty does not apply to furniture intended for commercial use.
Mechanical Parts and Cushions
Mechanical parts and cushions are not covered under the terms of this warranty, however, they may be covered by their individual manufacturer’s warranty. Please check with Leathercraft for their specifics.
Exclusions for Negligence or Misuse
This warranty does not apply to defects that result from negligence, misuse, accidents, improper cleaning, alteration or other accidental or willful changes.
Consumer Claims Process
Consumer claims must initially be presented to the original authorized selling dealer. The retail seller will then contact Leathercraft for repair or replacement, if applicable. The cost of packing and shipping to and from the Leathercraft factory are not covered by this warranty.
Packing and Shipping Costs
Since manufacturers of upholstery leathers and fabrics do not guarantee their products for wearing quality, colorfastness, cover shrinkage, wrinkling, and stretching, these properties are not covered under this warranty.
Protecting the Furniture
To ensure the long life of this product it is the responsibility of the owner to protect the furniture from excessive exposure to strong lighting sources which will cause fading; excessive heat which may result in cracking, peeling, or color transfer to other materials. Cleaning techniques or leather care products other than authorized by Leathercraft should never be used.
Commercial 10-Year Warranty
Warranty Coverage and Duration
Subject to the limitations set forth below, Leathercraft Inc. warrants, to the original purchaser it’s product to be free from structural defects in material and workmanship for a period of 10-years from the date of original invoice provided the product was used under conditions for which it was designed.
Exclusions and Limitations
This warranty does not apply to damage resulting from freight damage, accident, alteration, misuse, tampering, abuse, or negligence.
Leather and fabric, foam cushioning, and other parts subject to frictional wear are not covered by this warranty: The texture, color, and grain of the leather are not covered by this warranty.
Natural color changes, variations in leather, exposure to extreme temperature changes and direct sunlight may cause color changes and/or surface damage.
These are circumstances beyond the control of Leathercraft and are not warranty issues.
Certain chair styles with exposed wood require construction methods that accent color variations in light and natural stains. These variations are not considered product defects and are not warranty issues.
Claim Process and Inspection
During this warranty period, if any products are defective, you must notify our customer service immediately.
In order for your claim to be valid, you must agree to let a Leathercraft representative inspect the claimed merchandise. However, the representative does not have the authority to bind Leathercraft by a definite agreement.
If you follow the above procedures and your claim is approved, Leathercraft has the option of either repairing or replacing any defective product covered by this warranty. Service calls and all related expenses including freight to and from the factory are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Repair or Replacement Options and Excluded Damages
All other expressed warranties are hereby excluded and implied warranties are limited in duration to the 10-year period set forth above.
This warranty is in lieu of all warranties and the implied warranty of merchantability and the implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose shall not be part of any sale. We exclude and will not pay consequential or incidental damages under this warranty.
Sleeper/Recliner Mechanism Warranty
Sleepers and recliner mechanisms are warranted by the supplier for a period of one year.
